I’m totally one of those people has a really hard time just sitting and relaxing. For instance, I’m always doing SOMETHING while I’m watching tv and when I’m doing one thing, I’m thinking about the next thing I need to do and, to be honest, I’m usually doing at least 3 things all at the same time. This is why yoga is a struggle for me. He says to clear your mind which I really have to work at doing. Today at the end of the workout during corpse pose I started thinking about writing this post and I had to turn my brain off and relax which I think is really, REALLY good for me. So aside from its obvious flexibility benefits, which is really important because the more flexible you are, the more potential for lean muscle and strength, the mental benefits are huge for me. A time to shut off, relax, focus on breathing and clear my overcrowded, ever turning, stuffed to the brim brain.
