It’s OK

Happy Friday!

Last weekend, we were talking about this concept at church and I just had to share some of my thoughts on it.

I think there’s HUGE merit to finding the positive and looking on the bright side. I think that there is always something to be grateful for!

However, I think our society has kind of made it not okay to be not okay. Someone will talk about something that happened to them and often the response is that “things could worse” or “others have bigger problems” or something that marginalizes what they’re going through.

You know what.. sometimes we’re NOT okay and we need someone just to listen. And we also need to stop lying to ourselves about it too. I mean, how many times have you said that you’re okay to so many people that you start believing it yourself?

When you’re not honest with yourself, you shove down those feelings, you don’t deal with them, and that can build up and build up until you explode or do something that you or your loved ones will regret.

So, I just wanted to say that it’s okay if you’re not okay. Lean on your friends- your true friends- who will pick you up and get you out of your head and help you move past it!

Tell Them!

Happy Monday! Maybe this week we can make it a priority to tell people how much they mean to us! It doesn’t take ANYTHING from us, but it could mean the world to someone else!

Close Some Doors!

Happy Friday!! It’s hard to close doors sometimes, right? I think we were always kind of told to keep all doors open… but there’s something to be said about closing the ones that keep us distracted, or keep us in the past, or stop us from moving forward!

Let It Go!

Good morning! It can be hard to let go of the past, can’t it? Sometimes we think nothing that good will ever come along again… but we live in a world of limitless opportunities and only when you let go and leave yourself open will you find something even BETTER!
