Don’t Let A Sugar Hangover Get You Off Track!

SUGAR HANGOVER?!?!

Okay, guys, let’s talk about it… Halloween candy. Did you overdo it yesterday? Maybe eat the leftovers that the trick-or-treaters didn’t take, or raid your kids’ stash for your faves, or gladly accept their donations of the ones they don’t like…? Hey, it’s okay, it happens, we’re ALL human! Buuut there are a few things you can do today so you can beat that sugar hangover!

First, don’t beat yourself up! So, you slipped up, just remember, you didn’t make changes over night, or lose weight overnight, and you won’t undo it all overnight either! Cut yourself some slack, you’re getting back on the right track now!

Second, drink WATER! A lot of it! Flush out some of the badness with water. It’s also just going to make you feel better. Water is magical!

Third, avoid sugar the best you can today. Because sugar is a monster, you may be craving it today, but avoid it. That may mean it’s time to donate the excess candy… Mostly, avoid any added sugars.

Fourth, definitely get your workout in. Sweat it out! If you can just get started you’ll feel much better with some endorphins in your system… the natural high!

Finally, eat as healthy as possible today. Lots of veggies, protein, whole grains, and less fruit than you might normally. Add some green tea to your menu today also- it detoxifies!
