Happy Saturday and Happy Day 11 on the Ultimate Reset! I’m down 1.3 pounds which makes up for yesterday’s gain. So remember last Saturday when I said I kind of slept in a LOT? Well, today was much less so! I did sleep a little longer than normal but definitely not like last weekend. I see this as a great sign! My body is not in such a state of shock from it all. I’m feeling really good today! I had a lot that I want to get done today and I read that when you start detoxing your body, you sometimes want to detox your life too. Today I really wanted to clean so I guess that’s true.

Fresh fruit for breakfast! What was in there? Um… let’s see…. strawberries, bananas, raspberries, blackberries, pears, kiwi, watermelon and green apple! Last night we cut up a bunch of fruit so hopefully that will last us a while! Trader Joe’s has been great for fresh fruit because their prices are like half of the normal grocery store so I highly recommend checking them out for your produce needs!
Lunch today was the Quinoa Lentil Pilaf from last night (remember to make extra!) and Cucumber Tomato Salad. Here’s the thing, I’ve never been a fan of cucumber and I thought maybe this would make me like it…. but no such luck. So instead of a tomato and cucumber salad, I made a tomato and broccoli slaw salad. Same seasonings and everything, just used raw broccoli slaw from Trader Joe’s instead of cucumber- it was quick delicious!
Neil and I both agree that Alkalinize is just not that bad at all now and I never thought I’d hear him say it. Honestly, it just tastes salty with a hint of vegetable.
I did a TON of cleaning today and wore my body out. I took a little nap on the couch this afternoon and I’m not usually a napper. It’s amazing to me how much is going on inside that I didn’t even realize- but this just proves it. I also made salad for the rest of Phase 2 because we eat it every day for lunch the next 3 days (well maybe more, I didn’t look that far ahead quite yet). That takes a lot of the stress out of lunch time for sure!

I think you guys will really like the dinner for Day 11! It’s Hearty Vegetable Miso Soup and swiss chard. The soup is like the Miso Soup you’ve been making, but it’s full of veggies- carrots, broccoli, green beans, celery, cabbage and onions (if you want them- I don’t like them so we excluded them). It has yummy and fragrant ginger which was delicious in the soup! To be honest, we used kale instead of swiss chard because we had kale already. Guess what’s for lunch tomorrow- Hearty Vegetable Miso Soup! So make double! I am SOOO looking forward to eating it again too!
I’m glad to have gotten so much done today and I will definitely sleep well tonight! Honestly, I wasn’t sure how we’d do or if we’d make it, but here we are… Day 12 coming up!
