To me I feel like this is the same as asking if TurboFire is for men. The answer is a resounding…. YES! To both!
When I was considering doing P90x, I wasn’t entirely 100% for sure that it was geared towards women. After jumping in and doing it, I realized it really isn’t geared for either sex.
The way I see it, everyone needs to get fit and healthy. I think sometimes women think that just means cardio and yoga, but strength training is JUST as important if not MORE important! I think we also are worried that we’re going to bulk up and look like manly women if we lift weights. That’s just not true. We don’t have the level of testosterone that men do so we’re not going to bulk up. It’s going tone, define and tight us up which is what we all want anyway, right? Working your muscles, especially the large muscles like glutes and leg muscles, act like a cardio workout which gets your heart pumping. Plus, weight lifting helps to strengthen bones which can help prevent osteoporosis.
The workouts in P90x are great for both men and women. It’s about total overall fitness and building the lean muscle that will help us burn more calories, rev our metabolism, and improve our health. It’s a combo of cardio, strength training and yoga. It’s the whole package and that’s why it’s great for both men and women.
